President Barack Obama went on Twitter to congratulate #TeamUSA and Simone Biles on their performances in the 2016 Olympics.
Thank You! Such a huge honor! GO USA

President Barack Obama isn’t the first Obama to tweet Simone Biles. Earlier this week, First Lady Michelle Obama participated in a Q&A session with the “Final Five.” She asked the five gymnasts which healthy foods are their favorite.
Hey #FinalFive! We are so proud of you. What healthy foods keep you fueled as you go for gold? #LetsMove #AskFinalFive ? ?

On Sunday night, the Games came to a close in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The U.S. Olympic Committee chose Simone Biles as the flag bearer for the Closing Ceremonies due to her record-breaking achievements. She is also the first female gymnast to receive the honor for the country.
At only 4’8″ tall, Simone revealed concerns about carrying the flag, especially compared to Michael Phelps, who is over 6 feet tall and served as the country’s flag bearer in the Opening Ceremonies.
“Phelps is so much taller and he seemed to carry it so easily, and I’m very short. So I’m a little worried about that part,” Simone said to USAToday.

Simone won four gold medals for her Olympic debut, and one bronze. Her medals include Women’s Vault, Women’s Team All-Around, Women’s Floor Exercise, Women’s Individual All-Around, and Women’s Beam.
